Our August event was so popular – let’s do it again in September!
Sunday Morning, September 21
10:00 to Noon
SWCDP Dog Sports Center
(in back of Main Playground / Agility area)
.
FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE
Upon arrival – sign in at Main Table – you will get a ticket – listen for your pup’s number to be called. Each run is only 90 seconds – but your dog will be running at full speed – so taking a break and getting a drink is good way to go – especially if you plan a second or third run. Because of our strong turn out – if your pup wants to run more than once – and we certainly support the enthusiasm – just get back on the line up sheet – and we will call your pup’s new number in the rotation.
Please – cash only (no credit or debit cards)
Each run is a buck! Purchase your tickets when you sign up for the run list.
Variety of top quality shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, ball caps – and koozies – all with SWCDP logo. Inventory is limited – but we really need to sell what we have before year end. Once our inventory is cleaned up – we will have new merchandise to offer our members in 2026. Starting at 3 bucks for koozies and variety of garments at varying price points – nothing exceeds $50. Please help us with the “clean up”.
Remember – SWCDP events are a great time to meet other dogs and humans that you might not bump into if you have a regular dog park visiting time. We expect another strong turn out so chances are great your pup (and you) will make new friends – or see old pals, too.
Most dogs have an instinctual desire to run and chase. A string line will be set up – usually in a large square or rectangular form covering a good part of the agility course area. There is a bag attached. The bag zips around the area at a pretty good speed – and the volunteer managing the run can also switch direction of the bag movement – so depending on the dog’s level of engagement – we can keep pup chasing, guessing, changing direction – depending on what works for each pup.
Some dogs don’t really care about it– but until he tries – just don’t know the reaction. The dogs that “get it” – go crazy for the chase.
If you can help out – please sign up now so we know how to finalize the event details. Thanks all.
