We are bringing back an all-time member favorite!

SWCDP debuted our first Halloween event in 2013 and it was so popular we decided to make it an annual event. For variety of reasons – we have not held this event since 2021 – so for a lot of folks – this will be a new experience. Whether you enjoy the silly fun of costumes or just want to give your pup the excitement of our doggie activities – there is something for everyone to have “Just Plain Fun”.

All treat related activities are in fenced and gate controlled areas in the Alternate Dog Park. Volunteers will manage each activity – but it is up to the owners to supervise their dog (s) at all times. Our volunteers are managing the activities – not the dogs.
We welcome all of our current members – but it is important to know:
This event is not suitable for dogs with any type of resource aggression, including food or toys – or pups overly protective or uncomfortable in crowds.

About Costumes and Photo Booth

Use Your Own

Members encouraged to get creative and dress their pup. Often times member humans dress up too. All optional.

Borrow a SWCDP Loaner

Members can stop by SWCDP Costume Table and pick from variety of doggie costumes and plenty of assorted accessories for humans, too. Please return to table after photo taken so other members have access too.

Getting Ready for Photo

Members can arrive in costume – or use our fenced dressing area to put on costume etc – sometimes it is difficult for pups to play in costume so we provide the option.

Members Take Photo

Each member responsible for taking their own photo – SWCDP will not provide a photographer as in past. We will also not hold a costume contest as in past. This year – and going forward – photos are just for plain fun!

And we have fun for humans, too!
