While SWCDP is closed for 2024 Spring Renovations and Maintenance . . . why not explore new places with your pup?

Southwest City Dog Park Spring Renovation

Close March 24 at 10pm – Target re-opening June 1 at 6am

WALK WILLMORE PARK  (and other parks, too)

St Louis has many great parks – check them out – County and City links here. Your pup’s senses will explode with excitement as you explore new places together.

Have you walked any of the Great River Greenways?

Lots of great paths – go for it!

Yes – we love our dog park! But just as you enjoy variety or new experiences – your pooch will, too. We have links to City and County Dog Parks on our website under “Resources”. Some free, some membership. If another dog park is within your budget . . . consider joining one of the membership based dog parks as your alternative when SWCDP is closed – or just because it is fun to have variety. If you don’t mind the drive – there are a few FREE ones, too.

A few updates and tips . . .:

  • Bar K (City, off Kingshighway) – membership (check out our blog post re discounts April-May)
  • Shaw Dog Park (City) – membership (crushed granite turf – never close)
  • Maplewood Dog Park (Maplewood) – membership (small built in pool)
  • Broemmelsiek Dog Park (Defiance) – free (fantastic park – worth drive – nice dog swimming pond)
  • Ozark Drive Paw Park (Arnold) – free
  • Ferdinand B Lang Paw Park (Arnold) – free
  • Quail Ridge Dog Park (Wentzville) – free
  • Veterans Tribute Park (St Charles) – free
  • St John’s Community Dog Park (Concord) – free (closed until further notice, poison plant issue)
  • Kitun Dog Park (Sunset Hills) – membership (closed in April for maintenance)

How is your dog’s manners and self control?

If you think your pup can handle a restaurant situation – St Louis has plenty of opportunities to dine together. We have a few links on our website – this not updated since last year….let us know if you discover other dog friendly venues.

Remember Food Truck Friday in Tower Grove Park (on leash activity but lots fun)

Round up some of your pup’s dog park pals and meet at some of the above suggestions and/or explore other options….like rotating backyards.

SWCDP cannot be responsible for day-to-day updates for outside websites. We strongly recommend you contact any venue you wish to visit prior to your arrival.
