September – October

Agility Tutoring Classes – Date TBD

By popular demand, we are in process of organizing a deeply discounted agility class for those members who would like the benefit of training right here at our dog park and have the one-on-one help and encouragement from Betsy, SWCDP member and Agility Instructor. Watch email for upcoming details – there will be a registration process and small fee.

Saturday, November 3

Fall Celebration and Halloween Party

By far our largest event – lots of doggie games, treats, prizes —- and of course, our popular costume contest. Start thinking now about how you will participate. In the past, our 4-Legged winners donned all kinds of costumes, from clever home-made to fancy store bought. Even the simplest ideas have been executed with gusto. The humans have a lot of silly fun and the canines let us do it. Watch for details closer to event. NOTE: We will need a lot of helpers both the plan, organize, set up/tear down, and help work the booths – and donations for prizes and/or booth sponsorship.

ONGOING, See Dates

Tiny Paws Big Play (TPBP)

The Alternate Dog Park is specifically reserved for dogs under 25 lbs during the designated dates/times. This is an unsupervised event – members with small dogs are encouraged to use this time and space to meet other members with smaller dogs. Once you meet, you can either continue socializing during the TPBP times or you can coordinate other meeting times that better suit your schedules. Times are always posted on SWCDP website under Events Calendar.

Sat & Sun, 9am to 11am; Tues & Thurs, 6pm to 8pm

UPCOMING, Member Survey & President Blog

We are also working on a member survey – we want to hear your thoughts on current activities as well as building out SWCDP Five Year (and beyond) Plan. Anticipate survey for September – but start thinking about what improvements you might like to see. In place of our past newsletters, we are working on a blog which will include news, photos, updates and lots more. Hoping to get this off the ground by the Fall. Watch for email announcements.
